Celebration Service:  readings, music, and remembrance

Celebration of Life for Gary Lewis Darrow

Saturday, May 13, 2017 at 11 am

Church of the Good Shepherd

23599 Cedar Road

Lyndhurst, OH 44122

We are Gary Darrow’s church family. Please, we need your help! Gary was a dynamic, yet gentle presence in our church for more than 20 years. Like you, we are still shaken by his loss, but we are trying to honor him with a fitting memorial service, a Celebration of Life. However, we don’t know whether to prepare for 100 guests or 500! We need to prepare food, printed programs, and overflow seating. Gary has so many friends in the worlds of education and theater!

Please send us an email, telling us how many people in your household will be attending. You’ll receive an auto-reply about the service, but we will not use your email address for any further contact. We’re just hoping to have some ballpark idea of the number of attendees.

Gary played and worshiped with us for more than twenty years. We are honored to host this tribute service.

Celebration Service:  readings, music, and remembrance

Followed by a reception of refreshments, with opportunities for music and for quiet reflection

Facebook posting by Gary’s cousin and her husband:

“Gary’s last wishes were that in lieu of flowers donations in his memory be made to two organizations that he was close to. Church of the Good Shepherd, located at 23599 Cedar Rd., Lyndhurst, Ohio 44122 and the Performing Arts Department at the Hawken Upper School at 12465 County Line Rd., Gates Mills, Ohio 44040.”

Thank you for letting us know if you’re coming.

How else can we help you?  Please let us know.

Approach from the east heading west on Cedar Road so that you can turn right into the parking lot.

If the Good Shepherd parking lot fills, an option might be to park at Legacy Village.

Carpool if possible. (When we’ve hosted services for well-known community figures in the past, the outpouring has been tremendous.)
